Noya is a courageous young mother who has come forward after facing the hardships of life. She continues to be a beautiful wife to her husband and a loving mother to her little son. She lives in Kanadarawa, Medawachchiya.
As a young woman, she is a courageous wife who has been built asan example to other young women in the society with the utmost support of her husband. She started animal husbandry with two goats and today she has become a model farm by engaging in large-scale animal husbandry with many animals including goats, chickens, and ducks.
Having benefited more than 30 lakhs through the project, she has a chicken cage that can about 240 birds at the same time, including 35 one-month-old backyard hens and 5 males, 45 egg-laying hens and 5 males, and a hatchery incubator that can keep 179 eggs at the same time. She was inherited through the JSB project.
It is surprising that it did not take her that long to really see the benefits of the project. She currently collects 40 eggs per day, 120 chicks from one day old to one month old. Earn about 85,000 by selling to the market a month. Asolla and back solder fly for animal feed and cost control is done systematically to demonstrate financial management well. The state and project stakeholders, who saw her and her husband’s interest and commitment while struggling to maintain their economic stability amid a thousand obstacles, put a lot of effort into directing her to produce animal feed as well as the expenditure to upgrade their capacity. As a result, the animal processing center was very successful. She reaped the results of the satisfaction from it, and she was moving swiftly towards the project goals arising from her dedication.
At present, the daily production is 100 to 220 kg and she earns a high income from animal feed, medicine and other animal products and her monthly income is close to 140,000. Moving forward through innovative and technical aspects of marketing, she may one day become number 01 in animal feed and animal production in Anuradhapura. The force behind her success is the technical contribution of the UNDP and the social mobilization of Janatakshan Gte.Ltd.
