Janathakshan Holds Annual Business Planning Workshop for 2025

Janathakshan Staff during the Annual Business Planning

Janathakshan successfully conducted its Annual Business Planning Workshop from February 23rd to 25th at Berjaya Hotel, Mount Lavinia. This three-day residential workshop brought together all permanent staff to strategize and develop the organization’s 2025 annual business plan.

The sessions involved in-depth discussions on the progress of 2024-2025, identifying challenges and gaps, and mapping out solutions to drive sustainable growth. A key highlight of the event was Janathakshan’s transition from its previous strategic plan, #ItMatters, which focused on Resilience Building, Low Carbon Development Pathways, and Circular Economic Processes over the past five years. The new strategic plan is set to be unveiled before April 1st, 2025.

During the workshop, project managers, along with representatives from Finance, HR & Administration, Communications, and Procurement, presented their progress and outlined the roadmap for the year ahead. With the organization now entering a phase of growth and stability, the discussions emphasized strategies to ensure Janathakshan remains a sustainable and resilient local organization.

The event also provided a valuable platform for staff to collaborate, share experiences, and align towards common goals. The active engagement of all participants, along with the leadership of Janathakshan’s CEO/Executive Director, Dr. Janaka Hemathilaka, and the Senior Management Team, was highly appreciated.

Janathakshan looks forward to implementing its new strategic vision, driving impactful change, and continuing its mission for a sustainable future.
