Sri Lanka Preparedness Partnership in Action During Disaster Response

With guidance from the Disaster Management Centre (DMC), SLPP partners, including Janathakshan, Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, MAS Capital, Aitken Spence, and several university volunteers, mobilized immediate manpower support to strengthen the Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) and the 117 Call Centre.

From the evening of 28th November 2025 onwards, volunteers have been working around the clock on three shifts:

πŸ•™ 10.00 pm – 6.00 am
πŸ•• 6.00 am – 2.00 pm

Over 50 volunteers have already contributed more than 80 hours of dedicated service to ensure emergency requests from affected communities are attended to without delay.

This unified effort reflects the true spirit of preparedness and collaboration in Sri Lanka.
